TaqTaqTaq guide
Getting started
Open TaqTaqTaq and a fresh sheet of bubble wrap fills the screen. Pop the bubbles any way you like. The counter at the bottom shows how many you've popped out of the whole sheet. When the last bubble pops, a new sheet rolls in by itself.
Ways to pop
- Tap a bubble to pop it when you lift your finger.
- Press and hold to squeeze it. It flattens under your finger and pops when the pressure is enough, just like the real thing.
- Swipe across the sheet to pop every bubble on your path, as fast as you like.
- Use several fingers at once.
- Twist two fingers: put two fingers on the sheet and turn them, as if you were wringing the plastic. The bubbles between your fingers pop one after another.
Stubborn bubbles
A few bubbles in every sheet are stubborn. The first press only lets some air out with a soft hiss. Press again to pop them.
A new sheet
Tap the round arrow button (New sheet) whenever you want to start over. Popping the last bubble also brings a new sheet after a short pause.
Modes
Tap Modes at the bottom of the main screen for more ways to pop. Every pop in every mode counts in your stats.
Zen
The sheet fills the whole screen, with no counter, no buttons and no ads. Just pop. Tap the faint × in the corner to leave.
Breathe and pop
A big glass bubble breathes with you. Choose 4-7-8 to unwind (breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 7, breathe out for 8), or Box to feel calm and focused (4 seconds each: in, hold, out, hold). When you see Breathe out and pop, tap the bubble. It comes back with your next breath. If you feel dizzy, stop and breathe normally.
Pop your worries
Write what's bothering you in a few words, and each word goes on a bubble. Pop them one by one until they're all gone. Your words stay on the screen only: they're never saved or sent, and the keyboard is asked not to learn them.
Soap bubbles
Soap bubbles of every size float across the screen and sway in the air. Touch one to pop it, or swipe through several at once. Touch and hold an empty spot to blow a new bubble: it grows under your finger and floats away when you let go. Tilt the phone and the bubbles drift with it. Choose Few, Some or Many at the bottom of the screen.
Rage pop
Giant bubbles with deep pops, and the screen shakes with every one. Pop fast to build a combo: the longer it gets, the hotter the edges glow. Your best combo is saved.
Speed challenge
Pop as many bubbles as you can in 30 or 60 seconds. New sheets arrive quickly, and there are no stubborn bubbles. Your best score for each length is saved on your device.
Focus
One bubble glows under a spotlight, and only that one pops. Catch it before it moves. Touching another bubble counts as a miss, so aim carefully. A round lasts 60 seconds.
Duel
Two players, one phone. Lay the phone flat between you. Each player pops on their own half, and the top half is turned around to face the other player. Whoever pops more in 30 seconds wins.
Stats and achievements
See your total pops, today's pops, the last seven days, your best scores and how many days in a row you've popped. Earn medals as you go. Tap the share button to send a picture of your total through any app you choose. Your stats are stored only on your device.
Worldwide counter
See how many bubbles everyone has popped together. TaqTaqTaq adds your pops to the total by sending only a number, never anything about you. You can turn this off in Settings or on the stats page.
Home screen widget
On Android, add nine bubbles to your home screen and pop them without opening the app. Open Modes, choose Home screen widget and tap Add to home screen. You can also touch and hold your home screen, choose Widgets and find TaqTaqTaq. Pops on the widget count in your stats too.
Bubble size and plastic
In Settings, choose small, medium, large or giant bubbles. Changing the size starts a new sheet.
Choose the plastic you like:
- Clear: classic transparent bubble wrap.
- Pink: the anti-static wrap used for electronics.
- Silver: shiny metallic bubbles.
- Glow: bubbles that light up from inside, for a calm night. The whole app turns dark with it.
Light and tilt
Tilt your phone and watch the shine move across the bubbles. On the web, move your mouse instead. If you've turned on reduced motion on your device, the light stays still.
Sound and vibration
Every pop has its own sound, coming from where the bubble is on the screen. Turn sounds off with the speaker button or in Settings. Vibration can be turned off in Settings.
Landscape and tablets
Turn your phone sideways for a wider sheet. The buttons move to the side and the ad is hidden while you pop. If you'd rather keep the screen upright, turn on Keep the screen upright in Settings.
Theme and language
Choose a light or dark look, or follow your device. In Settings, choose one of 15 languages or follow your device's language.
Leaving the app
To avoid leaving by accident while swiping near the edge, go back twice to close TaqTaqTaq from the main screen. The same goes for leaving a mode while you play. The × button always leaves at once.
Updates
When a new version is available, TaqTaqTaq tells you and takes you to the store to update. Some important updates may be required.
Privacy
You don't need an account, and we don't collect your personal information. Your stats stay on your device, and the worldwide counter receives only a number. Ads are shown without personalization or an advertising ID. Read the full Privacy Policy in Settings.
Something isn't working
- No sound: check the speaker button in the app, your phone's volume, and silent mode.
- No vibration: check that vibration is on in TaqTaqTaq's settings and in your phone's settings.
- The light doesn't move: reduced motion may be turned on in your device's accessibility settings.
- The app feels slow: battery saver can slow down animations. Try closing other apps.
